Mink is a multi faceted business model. Downstairs is a bar & coffeeshop by day and by night it is a bustling bar, club & live music & entertainment venue.
Upstairs is a lounge with art gallery combined with a beautiful tattoo studio.
The main marketing focus is through social media, backed up by a mobile app and website. The intial focus has been on servicing & strengthening the existing social media audience, with forthcoming future development on the website and mobile app.
Facebook apps are developed in HTML5 with CSS3 techniques and utilising some jQuery features, hosted on a secure server. FQL and Facebook web services are used for relaying live information.
The website is currently a basic HTML/CSS3 flat structure. The mobile app is being developed in a lightweight multi compatible mobile we framework utilising jQuery and mobile bootstrap.
For day to day business logistics I have implemented many systems, from integrating Google apps such as calendar to aid organisation, to the creation of photoshop templates that enable the swift production of a set of images that can be used for online media, in house screens and printed material.
I've been brought to Mink as an overall consultant focusing on enhancing the Mink brand via digital media. It is my job to devise concepts and methods and action. The focus has been on immediate impact and long term sustainable strategies.
I have built upon the work already done using social media, focusing mainly on Facebook & Twitter and expanding into others such as Tumblr. Facebook apps were developed to promote different aspects of the buisness beyond the limits of Facebook.
The website & mobile app in particular are sales tools used for event promotion and awareness of what's on.
